On May 1st of this year I had an unfortunate accident at a local gas station making too sharp of a turn rounding a pump island and causing me to sideswipe a metal guard railing. The manager at the Gerber location in Oak Forest, Don H., was very understanding and empathetic about my accident and assured me that the damage was not as bad as it seemed. This was my second auto body shop estimate, Abra being my first. But the selling point for me to choose Gerber was that Don noticed that I had a paint scratch on my rear bumper ( from somebody backing into me in a parking lot when I was not in the car ). Without my asking, he offered to buff it out at no charge. I was not expecting this and at this point chose Gerber to repair my car. Tore the front plastic strip under the car on a concrete parking block. Went in and thought it would cost a couple hundred dollars. Manager was the nicest guy. He took it to the back and had one of his guys fix it and said not to worry about it, no charge. I was pleasantly surprised. Great place to go to.
