I initially went to Gerber to see Ed Seratt the General Manager at Gerber Collision on 1880 LaSalle Ave Naperville, after a recommendation from my Allstate agent. I wanted to repair my front bumper cover and fix a deep scratch in my 2009 Hyundai Genesis (which I dearly love). While not wanting to file a claim with Allstate my agent sent me to Ed because he knew of his great service and prices. Boy I thought that was going to be it. Gerber did a great job fixing my car and for a fair price. Within two blocks and two minutes of picking my car back up on an October Friday afternoon, I was T-boned at an intersection. After dealing with the situation, nobody was injured, I had towed back over to Gerber for repair. Gerber dealt soooo well with the corporate Allstate adjusters, who were not the fastest to respond or deal with the issues that ... arose. The whole staff was amazed, obviously that that accident occurred, and they genuinely felt bad for me (just bad luck!) While they were doing an amazing job putting my baby back together, my wife was in a fender bender. I took her car over to Gerber and they fixed her 2005 Honda Accord to just like new!!! Once they completed the body work, they took it for a test drive and noticed an engine noise. The accident was in the rear of the car and did not or should not have affected the engine. They did what many companies wouldn’t do, they drove it over to a well trusted Hyundai dealer. While Hyundai attempted to fix the engine, having to rebuild the top part of the engine, and then having to place in a whole brand new engine, Ed and the team at Gerber were my great representatives and kept me inform about what the process was of my car. While I was within my car for three months during this whole ordeal, Ed and the Gerber team worked very hard at trying to limit my inconvenience and helped me arrange a rental car at no cost to me after my 30 day insurance coverage ran up. The team at Gerber are such caring people that they took care of anything and everything I asked for. I am not a very patient person (especially when I want my Genesis back) and they bent over backwards to help me every time I called, which was at least three times a week. I am a Naperville ( this location) Gerber customer for life!!!!! (Although, hopefully I will not see them too soon…but I know if I need them for anything, they are there! Thank you Ed, Lindsey, Lucy, anyone who I spend too much time on the phone with dealing with my concerns, and the whole Gerber Naperville team (especially all the people who worked very hard to make our cars look amazing!) BTW I never write reviews, and although this is long, there was much more drama caused by everyone but Gerber, that they took care of and never made me worry about! read more

Although the insurance company was difficult to deal with, Gerber handled almost everything. Repairs appear to be very well done. I would have future repairs done here.

I had a very good expreriencewith my Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse from December 17-21 -- needed extra time as the delivered bumper was not accepted by Gerber -- NO problem! The free Enterprise rental was an added plus! I will certainly recommend this location to others.

"Repair and customer service were outstanding. I loved the short emails received during the process telling me the status of the repair and how the "car was doing." It made it very personal and it made me feel that the vehicle was in good hands. Although quoted 2 weeks for the repair, it was done in a little over 1 week and they were trying to get it done sooner but had issues in finding parts. When I picked up the vehicle, the receptionist was extremely courteous and friendly. The estimator, Jim, made sure to come out to the car, walk me through the changes, answer my questions, etc. In today's world, where customer service seems to have taken a back seat (no pun intended), the Gerber team at the Naperville location has demonstrated that customer service is still Number 1 and they go out and prove it. "Just a quick follow up. I am having absolutely no problems with my Equinox and am very, very pleased so far! My son, from Indiana where we used to live, came to visit with us last week and commented on my nice car (first time he has seen it). I told him it was the one involved in the July accident that we told him about and looked pretty banged up when I left it behind in Illinois. He graduated from a tech school in Indianapolis years ago and degreed in body work, paint and finish. He never got into the business though but has done some on the side jobs for friends and is very picky about how he does a job! He looked it over closely and said "dad, looks like they did a really nice job!" If my son says something, he means it!!"
